    Prices From £4088.70 ex VAT

The MobilePro is a mobile welding fume filter with a built-in-fan. The highly efficient filter cartridge self-cleans with the integrated RamAir pulse amplifier and the use of an external compressed air supply. The MobilePro is suitable for many welding applications such as MIG, MAG, TIG, GMAW, FCAW and stick electrode welding. Thanks to its four transport wheels (two having swivel castors with brake). The MobilePro is suitable for use in relatively small facilities or near sources of pollution without a fixed location. Extraction Arm / Hose available separately.

    Features

    SilentFlow duct free silencer
The integrated fan is placed in a SilentFlow sound absorbing box. This reduces both the mechanical and airflow noise of the fan by using an innovative air flow path, acoustic panels and a specially designed outlet.

    Ram-Air low operational costs
The MobilePro features a Ram-Air pulse amplifier, a powerful part of the back pulse cleaning system, that enhances the cleaning efficiency. A Ram-Air pulse amplifier is placed in the filter cartridge and disperses the pulse energy directly to the filter medium. The results are significant: cleaner filters; lower pressure drop, less compressed air and energy consumption. Ram-Air means low operational costs.

    BiCo filter cartridge
Plymovent’s BiCo polyester filter cartridges are based upon the latest state of the art Bi-Component Technology. This technology, making use of fibers, with a difference in melting point between core and surface, guarantees consistent quality and strength which produces a much longer cartridge life. Plymovent cartridges are 100% polyester and therefore also washable.

    Plymovent Mobile Fume Extractors FAQs

Straight answers to the questions people ask most when choosing and using mobile welding fume extractors.

What is a mobile fume extractor and when should I use one?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

A mobile fume extractor is a self-contained wheeled unit with a fan and filter, normally used with a flexible extraction arm or a hose. It captures welding fume at the source, filters it and returns clean air to the workshop.

It suits site work, repair and maintenance, small batches, confined spaces and any place where a fixed system is not practical. It can be moved to wherever the welding is happening.

How is a mobile unit different from a stationary one?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

A mobile unit is built to be moved, so it is more compact and generally handles one or two extraction points. A stationary unit is fixed in place and is better suited to continuous production, several arms or a central system.

If the welding is always in the same place and runs for long periods, a stationary unit may be the better choice. For varied locations, a mobile one is more flexible.

How do I choose between filter types?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Think about how many hours a day the unit runs, what you weld and what maintenance you can manage. Some designs need a compressed air supply for cleaning, some need collector parts washed at intervals and some need whole filters replaced.

For occasional welding a simpler filter is often enough, while heavy daily use may justify one that cleans itself to save time. Read the manual for any unit you are considering to see its maintenance needs and the replacement or cleaning intervals.

How do I know if a unit has enough airflow for my work?icon-minus-redicon-plus-red

Compare the unit's rated airflow with the demands of the process and the arm or hose fitted. Higher-current processes and flux-cored wires generate more fume than light TIG work. Airflow at the hood, not just at the fan, is what matters.

The manufacturer's guidance and the risk assessment should set the requirement. If you are unsure, ask our team or have an LEV specialist assess it.
